Appealing a Moderation Decision
Which decisions can be appealed, the 30-day window, and what the reviewer sees.
Last updated 19 October 2026
An appeal asks for a moderation decision to be looked at again by a different reviewer. It is not a way to remove a decision automatically, and it does not guarantee a different outcome.
Decisions that can be appealed
Only these decisions appear in the appeal form. A warning, a report outcome or an appeal of an appeal is not appealable here.
- A post or comment was removed.
- Your account was limited or suspended.
- A listing was removed.
- A Circle was removed.
- Monetization was blocked.
The 30-day window
You must appeal within 30 days of the decision. The form asks for the date shown in the decision notification and shows the exact deadline. A future date or an expired date is refused on the server, not only in the browser.
What to write
Explain why the decision was wrong in at least 40 characters. Say what rule you believe was applied by mistake and include context the reviewer cannot see. The full reason is shown to the reviewer, not published.
One appeal per decision
A second appeal for the same decision is refused, and the first appeal's outcome is shown instead. If you have new information, contact Support with your appeal reference.
What happens next
The notification for the original decision links here with the decision reference filled in. You can also open Support → Appeal a decision. Read understanding support tickets if you need help contacting the team.
- Submitted — the appeal is waiting for a reviewer.
- Under review — somebody has opened it.
- Additional information required — the reviewer needs more detail; contact Support with your appeal reference.
- Decision upheld — the original decision stands, with a note explaining why.
- Decision reversed — the original action is reversed.
- Closed — the appeal is no longer active.
