Creating a Marketplace Listing
List a product or service with photos, price and location — and what to check before publishing.
Last updated 19 October 2026
The Marketplace is where members list products and services with photos, prices and a location, and buyers message the seller directly from the listing.
Before you list
- You need a signed-in Xacheus account in good standing.
- Have clear photos of the actual item — stock photos mislead buyers and get reported.
- Decide the price and be ready to describe the condition honestly.
How to create a listing
- Open the Marketplace from the navigation.
- Choose create a listing (the sell button).
- Pick the category that fits — Electronics, Fashion, Vehicles, Property, Services and more.
- Add photos, the title, the description, the price and your location.
- Review everything and publish.
Writing a listing that sells
- Put the item and its condition in the title ("iPhone 12, 64 GB, screen protector since new").
- Photograph the actual item from a few angles, including any defects.
- State whether the price is fixed or negotiable.
- For services, say exactly what is included and what is not.
After you publish
Buyers message you directly from the listing — watch your messages. When the item sells, edit or remove the listing so nobody keeps enquiring: Editing or removing a listing.
Honest limits
Xacheus is not the seller and is not a party to the transaction. Payment, delivery and disputes are between buyer and seller. Check the item, agree a safe way to meet or pay, and use the report tools if something goes wrong.
Safety
- Meet in a public place for in-person trades.
- Be suspicious of buyers offering more than the asking price or "overpayments" — that pattern is a scam. See Avoiding online scams.
- Never share bank PINs or mobile money codes with anyone.
