The fossil belongs to a species called Nanotyrannus, which scientists distinguish from a young Tyrannosaurus rex. The sale made it the second-most expensive dinosaur fossil ever sold, according to the report. The skeleton is approximately 70% complete and measures nearly 20 feet long. The buyer has chosen to remain anonymous.
